A work in progress...

And the decorating begins! We chose a bed set, it is from pottery barn kids, called pink daisy fields. Here is a link if you want to see it..
http://www.potterybarnkids.com/products/w460/index.cfm?pkey=cbdgnbd%7Cb . We have a cape cod style house and the baby's room is upstairs. We painted three walls green and one wall pink. We have the crib and dresser, which our parents bought for us (thanks Grandma and Grandpa Schlie and Massey!). We also have two book shelves. I am looking for a area rug and my sister is going to do some paintings on canvas for me, she is very talented with stuff like that, I can only draw stick figures. The rest will all come together piece by piece as I find things I like to decorate with. We registered this past week at Target and Babies R' Us for all the baby necessities, that was fun!! My first shower is in Thanksgiving from Justin's side of the family and then in December for my side of the family. Time will fly by around then with Thanksgiving and Christmas, too! Can't wait!

My flexible Baby!!

October 11, 2007
So I had another ultrasound because at the last one they were unable to get full views of the babies spine, heart, and face because she was moving so much. So that just meant that I got to see her again! Everything looked great, she is a flexible one, as all babies are!! She had her hand at her mouth, and she also had her right foot there, too! She is so beautiful, I might be biased, though!

And the baby is officially...

A GIRL!!!! September 20, 2007

So we found out the baby is a girl, and we are super excited. Everything looks good with the baby. She is about a half pund at this point and has all of the pertinent body parts and functions!! That night we went to look for a bed set, I already had one in mind, but it looked nothing like it did online as it did in person. So I was a little disappointed, but that just meant I got to shop some more. Eventually I knew I would find the right one.

The first ultrasound...

August 17, 2007

My mother in law works at the regional perinatal center in syracuse, so I have a few perks. She was able to bring me in for my first ultrasound a bit earlier than most people. I was about 14 weeks, so a little to early to find out the sex, but it was awesome to be able to see the baby. At this point I still was having a lot of nausea, so being able to see the baby gave me a big pick me up. The woman that was dong the ultrasound mentioned that it could be a girl, but don't go out and buy anything. I was good and didn't buy anything. My sister did, even though I told her not to, that she would jinx me and the next time I went for an ultrasound it was sure to be a boy (which would have been great, too, but now the idea of a girl was already in my head!). It would be the six longest weeks until Justin and I found out anything for sure..

The Big Day in June

So I used the "most sophisticated stick you will ever pee on." We were trying to get pregnant, but I didn't think I was pregnant. I only took the test because I was suppose to work with chemo that week, so I didn't want to take any chances. I took the test about ten minutes before Justin got home, and completely forgot about it. We were in the middle of a conversation when I walked away, not even telling him why. I looked at the test and it said, "pregnant." I didn't believe it, and a few weeks later the nausea would prove it...and so the story begins.

Lazy Blogger...

So my sister set up this wonderful blog for Justin and I to share with our family and friends...and I obviously have not been to good at keeping it up. I have 600 pics on my camera that I need to seperate into albums and delete, I started that today. After that I can take some pics with my camera and start to post. I had so much memory on my camera that I can't take any more pics without getting rid of some. Some of the pics are from 2 yrs ago. So I vow from this point forward to not be the lazy blogger that I have been...you will see some more posts before you know it!
